The HØIBERG Prize 2018

5 February 2018

The HØIBERG Prize 2018 went to the team behind BacMeUpTM for a business plan based on “Preventing & treating type 2 diabetes via the gut microbiota.” The team presented a comprehensive, well-worked and researched as well as realistic business plan and demonstrated a firm grasp of the relevant IPR strategy.

For the 5th time the HØIBERG Prize goes to the team behind the best business plan among the students on the BioBusiness & Innovation Platform (BBIP) course at Copenhagen Business School (CBS). The purpose of the prize is to commend the students that manage to translate an invention within the field of life science into entrepreneurship by the aid of an attention grabbing business plan. Focus is on whether the business plan is comprehensive - even if the invention behind is complex-  well documented and addresses all aspects – both present and future - of the business.

The team behind BacMeUpTM lived up to our high expectations – thus congratulations on winning the HØIBERG Prize go to: Andrea Backlund, Elina Pörsti, Frederik E. Andersen and Lorenzo Marzi.
