Kristian counsels on patents, including drafting and prosecution of patent applications and oppositions, patentability analyses, freedom-to-operate analyses, infringements and validity of patents. He specializes in patent related matters in the fields of electronics, telecommunication, software, digital signal processing and medical technology, as well as robotics and artificial intelligence (AI), e.g. neural networks, machine learning and deep learning. He also works with valuation of patents and patent portfolios.

Kristian joined HØIBERG in 2014 as a patent attorney and became a partner in 2020.

He has technical experience from large international companies in the telecommunication and semiconductor industry, where he worked with microprocessors, signal processing and integrated circuits, as well as embedded test systems. He has also experience from working with ultra-low power integrated circuits and digital signal processing for hearing aids. 

He has worked for a number of years as a technical specialist for a licensor of IP to the mobile phone industry. In this position he worked with embedded software development for LTE (4G) technology. He also has detailed knowledge about wireless communication standards, including 3GPP.
