About Martin Espiñeira Cachaza

PhD (physics), University of Copenhagen and Microsoft Quantum Materials Lab, 2021

MSc (physics), Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, 2018

BSc (physics), University Complutense of Madrid, Spain, 2016

Martin joined HØIBERG in 2021 and counsels within all areas of physics, with specialization in semiconductor devices, quantum computing, materials science and characterization techniques.

Martin acquired his PhD in quantum physics from the Niels Bohr Institute in 2021. During his work in the Microsoft Quantum Materials Lab, his focus was to study and optimize the semiconductor crystal growth of the nanowire quantum bits, that will eventually become part of a universal quantum computer. This gave him a deep knowledge in crystallography, nanostructures characterization, crystal growth modelling and the topological superconductor approach of the quantum computer.
