Peter counsels on areas such as mechanics, telecom, optics – including fibre optics and optical communication, software, laser technology, medical technology, biomechanical inventions, robotics, diagnostics, biomarkers, biophysics, cleantech, process technology, and 3D scanning as well as software and artificial intelligence (AI), such as neural networks, machine learning and deep learning. Peter furthermore has vast experience in patenting of inventions bridging the technical sciences of physics/mathematics and biology/biotech.

Peter’s clients range from Danish C20 companies over SMVs to startups and universities as well as companies in USA, China, Japan, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Australia, Korea, Israel, and Switzerland.

Peter joined HØIBERG in 2007 as a patent attorney and became partner in 2013. In addition he is teamleader for the physics department of HØIBERG.

Peter gives strategic advice on all aspects of intellectual property and has specific experience in oral proceedings, oppositions and appeals before the European Patent Office, IP stragegy, US re-examination, novelty searches and patentability analyses, drafting of patent applications, freedom-to-operate analyses, infringement assessments and legal prosecution in Europe and the United States.

Peter has a background in physics and mathematics from the University of Copenhagen. Prior to joining HØIBERG Peter spent seven years with optical fiber Research & Development at Lucent Technologies, part of the AT&T conglomerate.
