Susanne counsels on all areas of IPR but especially deals with counselling about patent strategy and general innovation management in the fields of biotechnology, medicine, and medical technology on matters ranging from global prosecution of patent applications, licensing, cooperation on and acquisition of technology, Initial Public Offering and issues, validity and infringement of patents. In all her work the focus is on the IPR strategy having commercial purpose and being in line with the development of the company.

Her clients include anything from small upstart companies to multinationals.

Besides handling court cases on her clients’ behalf, Susanne also acts as expert in patent court cases and has been appointed technical judge at the Danish Maritime and Commercial Court and at the Danish High Court.

Besides this, Susanne is a respected and experienced speaker and teaches both at home and abroad.

HØIBERG was founded by Susanne in 1995.

Susanne graduated from medical school at University of Copenhagen in 1988, and worked as a medical doctor in Glostrup Hospital as well as a cancer researcher before entering the IPR field.
