Georgios Alkis Zisiadis

Alkis joined HØIBERG in 2024 with a background in medical science and neuroscience. He counsels within life sciences, with a focus on patent-related matters concerning therapeutics, diagnostics, biotechnology and related biomedical inventions.

His clients include early-stage start-up companies, universities and publicly traded companies. He has hands-on experience in several types of patent-related counselling, including patent strategies, prosecution of patent applications, patentability analyses and freedom-to-operate analyses.

During his PhD in Neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet, he focused on understanding the mechanisms underlying cognitive decline after radiation therapy and explored potential strategies for its prevention. This work provided him with in-depth knowledge of neurobiology, radiation biology, immunology, computational biology, transgenic animal models, imaging techniques and pharmacology.

He also holds a Master of Medical Sciences in Biomedicine from Karolinska Institutet, where he gained experience in novel biomarker identification, in vivo and in vitro models and drug-receptor interactions.”
