Henrik counsels in all areas of chemistry and life science. Henrik joined HØIBERG in 2024 and has a background in organic chemistry, organic functional materials, and supramolecular chemistry.
Henrik has experience in various types of patent related counselling, including, drafting and prosecution of patent applications, patentability assessments and Freedom-to-operate analyses.
Henrik holds a PhD in Chemistry, a MSc in Chemistry with a focus on organic synthesis, and a BSc in Chemistry with a focus on organic and medicinal chemistry, all from the University of Copenhagen. During his PhD and MSc, Henrik developed synthetic conjugates of organic dyes and photo-switches for light-harvesting applications and for investigating the photophysical process known as singlet fission. On his BSc, Henrik developed building blocks designed to discover macrocyclic carbohydrate receptors using dynamic combinatorial chemistry.
Before joining HØIBERG, Henrik was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford, where he worked with cyclic porphyrin oligomers capable of self-assembly and behaving as molecular wires. In his research, he gained experience in studying binding equilibria, size-exclusion chromatography, and NMR spectroscopy.
