Biography

André joined HØIBERG in 2020 and has a background in molecular biomedicine, an interdisciplinary field encompassing both health and natural sciences. He provides counsel across all areas of life sciences, ranging from genetics and molecular biology to pharmaceuticals, antibodies, diagnostics, medical technology, and brewing and food technology.

André’s clients include Danish universities as well as medium-sized and large companies, primarily in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and brewing industries. He has extensive experience in all types of patent-related counseling, including patent strategies, patentability assessments, prosecution and drafting of patent applications, oppositions, due diligence, and freedom-to-operate analyses.

André holds both a Master’s and a PhD in molecular biomedicine from Copenhagen University. During his PhD, he worked on the characterization of a novel cancer-related human protein and conducted high-throughput screening of yeast libraries. Throughout his studies, he gained experience in various molecular biology techniques and fluorescence microscopy in yeast and human cells, and worked extensively with CRISPR editing and screening in human cells and mice.

Prior to joining HØIBERG, André was employed as a post-doc at Copenhagen University, where he continued work on his PhD project.
