Biography

Charlotta counsels within the areas of life science, biotechnology and medical technology. Charlotta joined HØIBERG in 2020. Charlotta has worked in business development for life science start-ups in the areas of pharmaceuticals, medtech and eHealth. Charlotta also has experience from lecturing and teaching on various patent and innovation related topics as well as innovation management, market analysis and business development.

Charlotta’s clients range from innovative start-up companies and individual scientists to universities and medium-sized companies in the broad area of life sciences. She has wide experience in all types of patent related counselling with a strong focus on intellectual property and patent strategies, due diligence, landscape and freedom-to-operate analyses.

Charlotta has a PhD degree in Medical Science from Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. The PhD was in the area of Innovation Management and in particular regarding university-industry technology transfer processes. Her research included developing a large patent mapping study that explored inventive productivity and innovations transfer routes in the university-industry interface. Methods applied were among others patent analysis and patent landscaping.

Prior to joining HØIBERG, Charlotta worked in the Swedish innovations system developing a Life Science business incubator. She has also worked as an independent consultant in the area of market analysis and business intelligence.
