Alkis counsels within Life Science including neuroscience, neuroimmunology, radiation biology, cell biology and pharmacodynamics. He joined HØIBERG in 2024. Alkis has a background in medical science and neuroscience.
Alkis has a wide experience in several types of patent related counselling, including patent strategies, prosecution of patent applications, and freedom to operate.
Alkis has a Master of Medical Sciences in Biomedicine from Karolinska Institutet and a PhD degree in Neuroscience from Karolinska Institutet.
During his Master studies at Karolinska Institutet, he gained experience on novel biomarker identification, in vivo and in vitro models, imaging techniques and drug-receptor interactions among others. In his PhD, he focused on the prevention of cognitive decline after radiation therapy, and deepened his knowledge on neurobiology, radiation, computation biology, transgenic animal models and pharmacology.
