Jenny counsels within life science, including but not limited to biopharmaceuticals, biomaterials and bio-based manufacturing, hereunder precision fermentation and metabolic engineering. Jenny joined HØIBERG in 2020. She has a background in biotechnology and bioengineering.
Jenny’s clients range from start-ups to Swedish and Danish universities and medium-sized companies primarily in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Jenny has wide experience in most types of patent related counselling, including patentability assessment, drafting and prosecution of patent applications, due diligence, preparation of IP strategies and freedom-to-operate analyses.
Jenny has a MSc Eng in Biotechnology from Lund University, and a PhD in Bioengineering and Synthetic Biology from the Technical University of Denmark. During her Master and PhD, she obtained extensive knowledge and experience within molecular biology, metabolic engineering, and genetic engineering, in particular of yeast and bacteria. Part of her Master was carried out at University of California, Irvine, USA, and part of her PhD was carried out at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in USA.
Prior to joining HØIBERG, Jenny worked as a co-founder for a biotech start-up company.
