Jens Viktor Nørgaard counsels as a European Patent Attorney within all areas of Life Science. Jens Viktor joined HØIBERG as a partner in 2008, and has been working with IP since 1998. Jens Viktor holds a CEIPI Diploma on Patent Litigation enabling him to represent clients before the Unified Patent Court.
Jens Viktor’s clients range from universities over startups to international clients.
Jens Viktor has experience in all aspects of patents drafting, prosecution, IP opinions, FTO, strategy, patent litigation, oppositions, and appeals. He has represented clients before the Opposition Division, Examining Divisions, Boards of Appeal and the Enlarged Board of Appeal at the EPO.
Jens Viktor is a frequent speaker at national and international events and has been a tutor in claim drafting and FTO for many years.
Jens Viktor has an MSc in Forestry and a PhD in Forest Genetics and Biochemistry from The Veterinary and Agricultural University (now part of University of Copenhagen).
After completing his PhD, Jens Viktor worked as a researcher at the University of Copenhagen and gained knowledge within plant biotechnology and in the biotech company Phytera before joining the patent profession. Jens Viktor spent 5 years as a Director of IP at Danish biotech companies, NsGene and Symphogen.
