Marielle counsels, as a European Patent Attorney, on all areas of life science and specialises in health and medicine, drugs, molecular biology and biotechnology. Marielle joined HØIBERG in 2007 and became partner in 2014. Marielle has a background in molecular cell biology, pathophysiology and pharmacology.
Marielle’s clients range from innovative startup companies and individual scientists to Danish universities and medium-sized companies primarily in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. She has wide experience within commercialization of inventions and all aspects of patent-related counselling, from developing IP strategies, drafting and prosecuting patent applications in Europe and the rest of the world, opposition and appeal proceedings, freedom-to-operate analysis and IP due diligence.
Marielle holds a Master’s degree in human biology and an Industrial PhD degree from the University of Copenhagen in collaboration with the National University Hospital and a medium-sized Danish biotech company.
