Riccardo Vanzo

Riccardo counsels within the fields of Life Sciences and Green Technology. He joined HØIBERG in 2021 and has experience in vaccines, immunology, diagnostic systems, predictive models, and protein/peptide design.

Riccardo advises a range of clients, from innovative start-ups to Danish universities and medium-sized companies, primarily within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. His clients operate in areas including pharmaceutics and agricultural products. He has hands-on experience with patent drafting, prosecution in multiple jurisdictions, patentability and freedom-to-operate (FTO) assessments, as well as patent portfolio due diligence.

During his PhD and subsequent research career, Riccardo focused on developing novel assays to investigate physiological pathways and study drug mechanisms of action. He has practical experience with a broad spectrum of biochemical and microscopy assays, as well as next-generation sequencing and artificial intelligence.
