Stefan is one of our experienced patent attorneys in the HighTech division. He specializes in interdisciplinary inventions that merge Life Sciences and HighTech fields, including inventions that relates to Diagnostic Systems, Sensors, Medical Implants/Instruments, Additive Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning for Disease Diagnosis. Stefan joined HØIBERG in 2018 with a background in Biomedical Engineering, Biophysics, and Nanotechnology.

Stefan’s clientele ranges from small innovative start-ups and individual scientists at Swedish and Danish universities to medium and large-sized companies with a global presence.
With a broad expertise in patent-related counseling, Stefan excels in patent strategies, prosecution of patent applications, oppositions, due diligence, and freedom-to-operate analyses.

Stefan has an MSc. degree in Bioengineering and Nanotechnology from Lund University and a PhD degree from Lund University, which was carried out in close collaboration with other European research institutes and industrial partners. His PhD work focused on the use of micro- and nano-structures for the development of novel diagnostic devices and single-cell characterization and manipulation.
