Mie counsels as a European Patent Attorney within all areas of Life Science including molecular biology, cell biology, medicine and greentech. Mie joined HØIBERG in 2021, and has been working with IP since 2016. Mie became a European Patent Attorney (EPA) in 2022. Mie has a background in molecular biomedicine.
Mie’s clients range from innovative start-up companies to Danish universities and medium-sized companies primarily in the biotechnological and pharmaceutical industry. She has wide experience in all types of patent related counselling, including patent strategies, prosecution of patent applications, oppositions, due diligence and freedom-to-operate analyses.
Mie has a Master’s degree in molecular biomedicine from the University of Copenhagen. This degree is an interdisciplinary degree in health and natural sciences. Her Master’s project was done in collaboration with Novo Nordisk and focused on ligand-receptor interactions and the consequences on downstream signaling pathways.
Prior to joining HØIBERG, Mie had worked both as an in-house patent attorney at a big pharmaceutical company and as an external consultant in another company.
